About
Naomi Rawitz, LCSW, CST, CSE
I’m so glad you’re here.
I know how difficult it can be to open up to a new therapist, especially when you’ve felt stuck for a long time and aren't sure how to begin (or continue) healing. Having experienced both sides—as a client and a therapist—I truly understand the importance of creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. My highest intention is to honor your story and help you take meaningful steps toward writing your next chapter.
In my years of practicing clinical social work, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of settings and with individuals from diverse backgrounds. These experiences have reinforced my belief that some of the most powerful healing we can do for ourselves and our communities occurs in the context of relationships.
As humans, we are fundamentally wired to connect. We thrive in relationships, drawing strength from shared experiences, values, dreams, and struggles. When we connect with others, we gain wisdom, support, and the ability to co-regulate—helping each other move toward growth. In contrast, isolation can leave us feeling disconnected, unsupported, and unable to tap into the resources we need to face life’s challenges. I believe that healing, especially deep, lasting healing, happens when we come together.
My goal as your provider is to foster a healing, attuned, and empowering relationship with you and all of the parts of you that got you here today. Let me know when you’re ready; I’m here, and I’m listening.
“The natural healing force within each of us is the greatest force in getting well.”

Treatment Approach & Style
Naomi is an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist and trauma-informed clinician who utilizes an integrative approach to therapy and believes that therapy should be tailored to the specific needs, learning styles, and preferences of her clients. She grounds her work in a relational-cultural, attachment-informed, and intersectional feminist lenses. These lenses help us to understand how sociocultural systems and early relational experiences shape hardships and how these systems and healthy adult relationships can create opportunities to heal, grow in connection with others, and build a stronger sense of identity.
Naomi has particular interest in and extensive experience with incorporating Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). IFS guides clients toward increased compassion, clarity, and connection with the self and others through exploration of their multiple “parts” through emotional and somatic awareness. EMDR therapy is an experiential practice that helps individuals facing several different types of concerns genuinely process through traumatic memories and change emotional stories that can feel as though they’re neurologically “stuck” (you can learn more here). As an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Syzygy Institute trained practitioner of IFS-Informed EMDR, Naomi is prepared to help address complex emotional material that is sometimes difficult to fully address through basic talk therapy.
Naomi also frequently integrates mindfulness practice and skills into her work by drawing from her training as iRest® yoga nidra teacher, understanding of polyvagal theory, and education in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT).
Naomi’s approach to therapy is relational, authentic, and strengths-based: she checks in with clients frequently on how therapy is going, helps identify, develop, and celebrate client strengths, provides a genuine and direct response to what a clients have shared in order to help them deepen their own self-insight, and acknowledges limitations of her expertise, providing other resources or referrals when needed.
In her free time, Naomi seizes any opportunities she can to spend time in nature. She also finds joy in laughing as much as possible and cooking food (especially desserts) with loved ones.
Our Values
-
Social Justice
We strive to create a safe, inclusive, and affirming space. Folx of all racial and ethnic identities, gender identities, sexual orientations, levels of education, health and ability statuses, religious backgrounds, political beliefs, and citizenship statuses are welcome here. At our practice, we invite open conversations about the ways in which our identities and those of our clients impact the therapeutic experience.
-
Accessibility
We respect the reality that mental health care looks different for each individual and that many need accommodations in order to access services. We offer a sliding scale when possible and offer remote therapy for clients who prefer online sessions. Feel free to reach out to us about any concerns regarding accessing services.
-
Open-Mindedness
At NRCW, you will be met with ethical curiosity. We genuinely want to learn more about you and how you experience, understand, and interact with the world around you. That said, we do not expect you to educate us about your life in any way that does not clearly serve you. While effective therapy often involves expanding your thinking and trying new behaviors to support your healing process, we have no interest in changing your values, belief systems, or anything else that makes you, you.
-
Authenticity
It is important that clients feel safe to express themselves openly and honestly, and in return receive open and honest feedback from their therapist. That said, we know it takes time to build trust with a new therapist. It is our hope that as our relationship grows, you will come to feel more comfortable speaking your truth and, as a result, get the most out of therapy.
-
Sex Positivity
Sex positivity is about normalizing sexual thoughts and behaviors as part of the human experience. Sexual identity, expression, and connection can be sources of joy and health, though one may also feel fulfilled without being sexually active or feeling that sexuality is particularly important to them. If you have been in an environment in which your sexuality is viewed as shameful, incomplete, or wrong, you can find space here in which you can begin to experience your sexuality as a source of wellness, pleasure, and empowerment.
-
Holistic Perspective
Our focus is less on symptom relief alone and more on the wellness of the whole person in their relationship with themselves, others, and the world. We utilize a relational-cultural, intersectional feminist lens to create opportunities to explore how larger sociocultural systems impact mental, physical, relational, sexual, communal, and spiritual wellness.
